Being met in an event at the Bakrie Mosque, Jakarta (10/10), Gerindra's head Prabowo Subianto emphasized that his Merah Putih Coalition (KMP) has never thought to fight for the parliament to satisfy their own crave. Rather, the former president candidate stated that he wants to make sure that his KMP can collaborate with the Indonesia Hebat Coalition (KIH) which supports the elected president Joko Widodo.
"I think we don't see it as 5-0, or 4-0, or 6-0. We see it step by step, and determine those that fits our nation's interests, the Pancasila, and Statute, which are really fundamental for us all. There is no 5-0, 6-0. We stand for our nation," Subianto stated, as reported by Kompas.
He further added that his KMP looks to oversee the upcoming government through parliament. They won't be hesitate to praise the government should they do the right thing, as well as take action as soon as they do wrong. The main indicator, he stated, is the people's prosperity and happiness.
"We will support any government who fight for their nation, country, and people. If they don't we will put our best efforts to correct them," he stated.
