Aburizal Bakrie's Reign in Golkar Ends Today
Yes, you read it right. The Tri Karya Exponent suggested that the time has come for Golkar's head Aburizal Bakrie (ARB) to step down from his position. This is based on the fact that the businessman has held the position for five years sharp as per today (9/10) after being elected on October 8, 2014. It means that he has been in the position for five years, and according to Golkar's statute, it is the maximum period of a head's reign of leadership.
"Based on an undeniable fact, ARB's reign in Golkar ends on October 9, 2014 at 12 A.M. Therefore, any policy made by the central board after today will not be valid according to the law," Zainal Bintang, the Tri Karya Exponent's Coordinating Head, stated in a press release (9/10).
Prior to this, Bintang and his Tri Karya pushed ARB to hold the national conference IX as soon as possible. They give the board 14 days to form a committee for the conference. He added that the conference itself should be held no later than early of December this year. This counters what ARB always stated, that the national conference IX would be held in 2015.
